Street & Landscape Photography
Workshop

4 & 5 APRIL, 2026
Peak District-Derbyshire

Where there is light, there is movement,

and where there is movement, there is story.  "Gaylan Nazhad"

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Set in the rolling landscapes of the Peak District, this weekend workshop blends photography, cycling, and well-being into one creative experience. Over two days, participants will explore scenic routes, historic villages, and quiet country roads discovering how movement, breath, and light come together to shape visual storytelling.

Led by Nazhad, this immersive workshop invites photographers to slow down and reconnect with their surroundings. Each ride becomes both a journey and a meditation, a balance between motion and observation. You’ll learn to photograph with awareness, sensitivity, and rhythm, capturing the natural harmony between people and place.

The workshop is designed not only to develop your photographic eye but also to nourish your body and mind. Cycling through fresh air, open spaces, and natural light enhances focus, creativity, and overall well-being.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Over two days, we will travel by modern electric and manual mountain bikes, making the experience accessible to all ages and fitness levels. These bikes allow everyone to comfortably enjoy the scenic terrain without concern for difficulty or endurance.

Our route takes us through the heart of the Peak District, combining open landscapes, forest paths, and rural villages. Participants will photograph throughout the journey capturing atmosphere, emotion, and the relationship between people and place.

WORKSHOP STRUCTURE

Day 1 | Saturday: The Journey Begins
Morning: Meet and orientation followed by a guided cycling route through scenic valleys and stone-walled trails. We’ll focus on composition, natural light, and how to shoot while in motion or during brief pauses.
Afternoon: Lunch break in a local village followed by a photography walk exploring rural life, colour, and texture.
Evening: Optional image review and group discussion over coffee or tea.

Day 2 | Sunday: Depth and Reflection
Morning: A new cycling route through landscapes shaped by early light and mist. Participants focus on atmosphere and storytelling, translating emotion into image.
Afternoon: Final ride to a small village or viewpoint, concluding with lunch and a reflective discussion.
Evening: Closing coffee break and group review, sharing selected images and personal observations.

NOTE

This workshop welcomes photographers of all levels and ages. With electric mountain bikes, even the steeper routes become smooth and enjoyable, ensuring that everyone can focus on the creative and visual experience rather than physical challenge.

The weekend blends creativity, movement, and mindfulness, a chance to breathe, explore, and photograph at your own pace. Participants will leave with a collection of images that reflect both the beauty of the Peak District and the restorative joy of cycling through it with a camera in hand.
